Cordyceps - A Member of the Multi-Purpose Medicinal Mushrooms Family

Among the family of natural remedies, cordyceps is widely considered to be one of the multi-function medicinal mushrooms.

What are Cordyceps and Where Do They Come From?

Cordyceps is a type of fungi. In China, it is called Caterpillar Mushroom or Caterpillar Fungus.

This medicinal mushroom has been used for thousands of years in Asian cultures, namely China. It was basically unknown until it received a great deal of attention in 1993 when three female Chinese athletes broke five world records for races of various lengths at the National Games in Beijing. The world waited to hear that the three athletes had tested positive for steroids. But no. There were no illegal steroids or other substances found in the blood tests. However, their coach divulged to the media that the girls had all been taking Cordyceps per his instructions.

Needless to say, this caused a lot of people to sit up and pay attention!

If these three athletes breaking an astounding five world’s records in races could be attributed to taking Cordyceps, what could it do for the Average Joe and Jane?

While nobody can guarantee that if you take Cordyceps on a regular basis you will be able to outrun any horse in the Kentucky Derby, there is much solid research that seems to show many beneficial properties of this Medicinal Mushroom.

Let’s take a look at some of the health problems that might respond favorably to Cordyceps:
  • High Cholesterol
  • Cardiovascular Health
  • Cancer
  • Aging
  • Type II Diabetes
  • Liver Function
  • Immune System
  • Anti-inflammatory
  • Physical Performance
  • Kidney Function
  • Respiratory System
  • Sexual Dysfunction
  • Fatigue
  • Hepatitis
  • And More.....

It seems safe to say that if you are suffering with health problems in any of the areas listed above, Cordyceps might be well worth trying!

Even if you don’t have any of those specific problems, you might want to give it a whirl for the enhanced physical performance alone. Why take dangerous steroids that are absolutely loaded with side effects when a safe, natural way of boosting your physical stamina and performance is readily available?

Those grappling with Type II Diabetes may be especially interested in Cordyceps, as anyone taking it is advised to monitor their blood glucose levels carefully because Cordyceps has been to show to cause possible hypoglycemic effects.

Hypoglycemia, or low blood sugar, is something that many diabetics never have to worry about! Just the opposite, in fact. So, if you are diabetic, talk to your doctor about taking Cordyceps. Who knows? It may allow you to decrease the amount of prescription drugs you are taking.

Life is fleeting. Why waste even one precious moment of it feeling tired, under-par, or in pain and suffering ill health?

Just imagine how much better you would feel and how much more enjoyment you would get from your life if you were in tip-top condition with your body in an optimal state of balance!

Just think of being able to live every second of every day in a glorious state of abundant, glowing health….to go through your days with energy to spare and then spend your nights in restful, peaceful slumber.

It almost sounds like some enchanted land you would love to be living in, doesn’t it?

Cordyceps might just be your ticket to that land of good health and dynamic, vivacious well being, so why wait another day to start the trip?
